Today we set off on another trip to Italy for the European Road Championships, which are taking place in Maniago. Ivo will be racing in Maniago and its surroundings for perhaps the hundredth time.

On Sunday 23.4. at 9 Ivo stood on the starting line of the road race for the world cup in Maniago under the watchful eye of coach Ivo Koblasa sen. On Friday Ivo took 6. place in time trial.  Ivo held in head of peloton abouth first place.

On Sunday 19.5 at 15:30 Ivo stood on the starting line of the road race for the world cup in Ostend under the watchful eye of coach Jaroslav Bláha. Compared with the Friday time trial the weather was worse on Sunday - it got a lot colder and started to rain.

After a great time trial on Friday, Ivo had to face a Sunday road race on the same technically demanding circuit. The road race started at 9:02.

On Thursday 14.3 Ivo competed in the 3 km pursuit at the velodrome in the Dutch town of Apeldoorn. Following systematic preparation, Ivo and his implementation team were expecting a good result.

On Sunday 5.8. the cyclists took part in a road race. Following the persistent health problems that had dogged him since the spring, Ivo was feeling great and in excellent form.

The Sunday (5.3.) programme turned out to be very demanding for Ivo. He competed in the team sprint with Jirka Ježek and Jirka Bouška, with possibility of going forward from the morning heats to the afternoon final and then a 60-lap scratch race in the afternoon.

On Thursday, 2 March, the first 1 km races were on the program of the World Championships in Los Angeles. Ivo entered the race after hard training, which he completed under the guidance of coach Jaroslav Bláha on the track in Vienna.

10.9 Ivo was standing at the start of his favorite race on the 1000 m time trial track, where he has two bronze medals in world championships. There was little expectation of this success today, however, because this category was combined with two others.
